About the Creator Policies List

The purpose of this page is to provide a quick reference guide to know what different sites and creators have as their redistribution policies.

This guide is designed for creators uploading to MTS2 - the "yes" and "no" means "yes, allowed for MTS2 uploads" or "no, not allowed for MTS2 uploads" only, assuming posting in accordance with MTS2 guidelines for uploads. If you are uploading to free sites other than MTS2, pay sites, or the Exchange, please make sure you double-check with the creator and look at their policies to see if uploading anywhere else is allowed, or different.

Please make sure you check the individual sites whose content you're using - this is a quick reference guide, not a detailed and complete listing. It is your responsibility to know the details of their full policies and follow them.

Missing or Incorrect Info?

This list is closed for editing by MTS2 staff members only, so it can be used as a moderation aid for the MTS2 upload queue. However, we would like it to be as complete as possible, incorporating the policies from all the common sites one might want to include content from.

So... if we are missing a site, please tell us! If the info we have is incorrect or incomplete, and you have better info, please link us to it!

You may contact us to get info added here in one of two ways:

• Edit the Talk/Discussion Page for this article and add links to pages you would like added, or additional info you may have. You will need a Sims2Wiki login to edit the talk page.
• PM HystericalParoxysm on MTS2 with links or info. You will not need a Sims2Wiki login, though you will need an MTS2 login to send private messages.

Key

Because this is a big list and there is limited room, certain abbreviations are used. Here is what all of the column headings and abbreviations used mean:

• Recolour: You may change/tweak their existing alphas, textures, and bump maps.
• Retexture: Make new textures, alphas, and bump maps for their meshes.
• N/A: Not applicable. Site doesn't offer that sort of content, or irrelevant because of other terms.
• Other: Any special, weird, or esoteric terms.
• (P): Direct link to the site's policy page.
• UL Lots: May be included with lot uploads.
• UL Sims: May be included with sim uploads.
• w/Mesh: May upload the mesh along with your new recolour or retexture.
• w/Perm: With explicit permission. You must contact the creator and ask.
• w/Readme: Must include a readme file to upload the mesh.
• ? : Unclear or not stated. Consider this a "No" until more information is available.
