Casual Groups

Problem(s)

  • Sims visiting a restaurant will not sit and eat at the same table together.
  • I want to send just specific sims to a community lot, while leaving the rest of the family at home.

Solution

If you have the Nightlife expansion, you have the Casual Groups feature, which will resolve both of the problems listed above.

How to form a casual group:

Before you call the taxi to go out, click on the sims you want to bring with you and click Ask -> To Form Casual Group.

At this point you have two options:

  • Just for Fun: This is just to create a group and they'll do stuff together
  • For an outing: This is treated as a sort of date, with a bar telling you how well things are going.

You can click other Sims to join the group.

Once the group is formed, you can get the taxi to just come and pick up your group. When you're on a community lot, if you have your main sim go sit to eat, dance, whatever, your casual group will all follow.

Click on your Sim for group maintenance (gather group, end group), or if you just want rid of one group member, click on them, then Ask, then "To leave casual group"
